Accordion and keyboardist Pete Sandvik is a veteran of the Minnesota music scene, performing with groups as diverse as the Duluth Accordionaires and the Grateful Dead tribute band the Space Heaters. Pete brings Cajun, zydeco and rock influences, combined with a musically adventurous attitude and legendary improvisation skills, to his accordion playing with the Sweet Colleens.
Pete is also a certified accordion repair technician, having received his degree at the A.R.T.S. school in Duluth, Minnesota.
Pete is able to connect with our residents through his music. We have several residents who love polkas and waltzes, and his music brings back memories for many of them. He gives a bit of history for some of the songs he plays and a little history about his accordion. We enjoy having Pete perform for our residents.

“Pete has performed for our residents a few times now and they are always asking to have him back! He entertains the crowd with his music but also provides fun facts about the songs, musicians, and even has a few jokes! His friendly demeanor and lively personality keeps everyone engaged and entertained for his whole set. He plays a variety of tunes that are sure to please everyone. We love Pete!”
